We Are YOGA MATters
Our mission is to provide a safe yoga practice that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit by intuitively guiding students through sequences that build strength through the breath. The goal of YOGA MATters is to help you learn to take care of yourself mentally and physically by letting go of weakness and building strength. All classes are breath and core based. Yogis will flow through vinyasas, balances, and stretches to find healing in their mind and body. We encourage you to practice to your individual level and rest whenever it is needed.
Students of all levels are welcome in any class as we provide modifications for all poses. Classes are 45 minutes and mildly heated to 80F. Admittance to class will begin 15 minutes before start time. A towel and water bottle are recommended.
Our Class List

Basic Yoga
This is a great place to start if you are new to Yoga. This class will explore different variations of Yoga poses to strengthen muscle, as well as increase balance and flexibility.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa Yoga incorporates deep breathing and body awareness as you move between postures to strengthen muscle, improve balance, and increase flexibility.

Sunrise Yoga
This class will focus on poses to awaken the mind and body. Start your day off right by mentally and physically getting energized for the rest of the day.

Gentle Slow Flow
This class offers a gentle transition from one yoga posture to another, with few shifts between sitting and standing poses. The focus will be on strengthening the core, arms, and legs, loosening the shoulders and hips, and enhancing both mental and physical balance.
Tune-up Tuesday
This class will integrate different disciplines of exercise with Yoga to tune-up muscles your body needs to function every day. Practice may incorporate weights, resistance bands, barre, and other tools to tone muscle and build up endurance.

Weekend Warrior Flow
For those who want to go the extra mile, the instructor will intuitively guide you through an energizing flow designed to deepen your stretches and further strengthen your practice.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is practiced at a slow pace with long holds in passive poses, stillness, and deep breathing. The focus is on physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

Restorative Praise Yoga
This class is similar to the Restorative Yoga class. Scriptural readings for meditation will be incorporated along with worship music to rejuvenate the mind and soul as you relax through the physical postures.

Barre Yoga
Incorporating elements of ballet and Yoga, this class will focus on low-impact, high-intensity movements to strengthen the body and develop flexibility.

Yoga Sculpt
Yoga sculpt will help tone up the muscles and build strength through postures performed with some resistance, which at times will include using weights, bands, or other props.

Yoga Cardio
This class is similar to the vinyasa class with a more rapid flow through the sequences. The high intensity workout will help build cardiovascular endurance for the heart and lungs.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that includes poses that are held for extended periods, allowing time for the deeper, connective tissues in the body to stretch. With conscious and controlled breathing, it can improve overall flexibility and range of motion.
